    • The US Knowledge Base has been updated with "China Tariffs" (US Section 301) Chapter 99 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, Revision 11 (2023). Chapter 99 lists HTS subheadings that are subject to an additional duty if they are products of China and the exclusions granted in Subchapter III. "Special restrictions" is the new Output field where such country-specific regulations can be obtained. Note: this new content is available only in the 23.12.0 or newer versions of the Compliance Checker software. No other content changes are in Revision 10 and 11.
    • This update has improved code assignment for structures to be classified in Chapter 32.

    • For Switzerland 11-digit codes were introduced. Every 8-digit Swiss tariff number has a 3-digit statistical key. Some statistical keys are different for Import and Export.
      The country code for

      country code will be used.

    • The new "pharmaceutical agents" 11-digit Swiss codes are assigned based on a lookup in the FDA's Orange Book and Green Book.

    • For Chapter 32 "TANNING OR DYEING EXTRACTS; tannins and their derivatives; dyes, pigments and other colouring matter..." the 3200 code has been corrected to the 3204 heading code.

    • JP_Exp country code for 'Japan Export' was changed to JP_EXPORT.

    • Some new solvents were added to the solvents (removable fragments) dictionary: dichloromethane, chloroform, trifluoroethanol, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. These solvents are not considered as mixture components of chemically defined structures.
